One-on-one shooting with a professional model
Working in a professional studio environment
Posing and communication techniques to put anyone at ease

Using gels and gobos for unique and creative effects
Create painterly portraits that pop
Understanding light ratios
This workshop is aimed at photographers who already have a good grasp of the basics of off-camera flash and want to take their skills to the next level.
Maybe you own a light or 2 already and want to use a third, fourth, or even fifth light. Maybe you want to try using gels, or maybe you want to try mixing up hard and soft lighting for really dramatic, painterly results with your portraits.
This workshop will focus more on advanced technical lighting for achieving the exact lighting placement using multiple strobes. A technique to help me achieve this is working with lighting ratios, which involves using a flash meter to Determine how powerful my key vs fill vs back vs rim lights.
By the end of the day, you’ll have gained the confidence and skills to take your photography to the next level beyond a single speedlite or strobe. You’ll be able to create images with a high-level, polished finish in any environment using a variety of different techniques using gels, gobos, and unconventional Modifiers. In addition to that, you’ll also gain the skills to communicate and pose models and also keep them at ease throughout the entire shoot.
